BD 'King'
I started riding in 1965 on a new Honda 50CC SS.
It topped out around 45, but the modest speed didn't keep me from exploring virtually every rode around the NASA Manned Spacecraft center in Webster.
I sold it after my Grandfather gave me a 1961 Catalina, and it wasn't until 1992 that I got reinvolved in motorcycles with a 1990 Virago 1100.
That was a sweet bike, but I sold it after I lost it in a curve -- going too fast, riding like a fool. I didn't get hurt, but I got SCARED and lost the sense I wouldn't be hurt on a bike.Except for renting, Idid not get involved again until this last winter when I bought a new Harley Road King Classic.

The 'King' is a substantial step up from the Virago, which weighed maybe 360 pounds. Since this photo I added a Classic tour pak and a J&M Corp CB Radio/Intercom system along with a Garmin GPS.
Combine all this with the smooth ride and cruise control, and my wife and I cruise along at 65-75 MPH on Arizona's great roads in style and comfort.
We do a lot of weekend touring. I average about 800 miles per month on the bike, and I don't see that ending soon, so I hope to place a lot of Local Arizona rides on here for others to share.
