This road has a little bit of everything... and the more curves and great scenery than most roads in ND. Follow the path of Lewis and Clark, see a monument to Native American Chief Sitting Bull, Fort Lincoln State Park including the home that Custer left to become a hero, Native American dirt mound village (also at the state park), a native American casino on the reservation, and Bismarck, the state capital. If you're not tired of the history lesson the heritage center near the capital has outstanding displays of ND history. The route could be extended by continuing up 1804/1806 to Garrison Dam taking in a couple more historic sites including the Lewis and Clark Center, Fort Mandan (where Lewis & Clark spent their first winter)and Knife River Indian Village. I had 110 miles one way to get to the starting point shown here and 450 smiles on my KLR was enough for the day!

The best of the best. These folks have ridden and shared more roads than any other ORJ member this month.
