2011 GMC Polar Bear Ride
- Distance: 110 miles / 177.0 km
- Ride Time: 2-4 hours
- Approximate Fuel Costs: $8.36
- State: Virgina
We left Manassas at 10AM and returned by 3:30PM after stopping twice. 1st stop, approx. 30 minutes at a 7-11 in Lovettesville, VA. then stopping again at the Marshall Diner in Marshall, VA for about 90 minutes to graze and chat. From Marshall we rode to Manassas. Most of the roads were VA By-ways and secondaries. Most were in good condition except for Loyalty Rd. (a 3 mile stretch from Waterford, VA. to Lovettesville). That road was a little rough but all paved. The scenery is spectacular seen from some of the rolling hills. In the summer the fields are bright green and the trees full of life. Great big estates and farmsteads adorn the horizon in every direction. Hand made rock walls parallel the road or sometimes expensive wooden fences. It's a very enjoyable ride overall. Best to ride in the spring or fall.

The best of the best. These folks have ridden and shared more roads than any other ORJ member this month.
