This is Mystery Trip #7 for our Web Rider group. I plan a trip, give out clues and then everyone follows along. Trips range in length and time, most 2 night, 3 days and 250-375 miles one way, but always a good ride and party at the destination.
We start out at BCOD(but crack of dawn) and watch the sun come up over the horizon as we head east. Once away from the suburbs we get into some of the Florida mining areas, as there is some great riding on these old mining roads that have been paved over and given to the counties.
I keep the ride as rural as possible and away from towns as to keep our destination unknown.
We stop on the outskirts of Lake Placid for lunch at Jaxson's Bar & Grill. I had set this up a few weeks ago when I did my pre-ride. Great little spot with good food.
Now after leaving here there are limited fuel and restroom facilities for about the next 70 miles, so get gas at the turn off for SR 17 just east of Jaxon's. There is a little country store about 25 miles fromm Jaxon's, but nothing else until you get to Labelle.
Nice ride along River Road to SR 31. After this it is mostly getting down into Ft. Myers Beach area and having to deal with a little traffic and red lights.
We stayed at Lighthouse Inn & Resort. Great facility for a group like ours. All the units surround the two pools on site and has a great Tiki Bar right ion the center. Across the street is Youcatan Beach Stand. Great food and service, with live entertainment. Tell Steve and Darlene the managers that the Web Riders sent you. We were 30 people strong and they won't soon forget us!
This is a good long weekend type of ride.

The best of the best. These folks have ridden and shared more roads than any other ORJ member this month.
