Best Time to Go
Spring, Summer, Fall
Awesome route! I just got my bike this summer and,I've been dying to run this route. You can't say you're a bike rider in the Central Virginia area, unless you've taken this ride. I loved it. Just make sure you have ample fuel. Neither road has hardly any fuel stops. The Nickel(route 5) is nice and curvy with shaded spots. It also has lots of historic stops such as plantations. The Dime(route 10) has hardly anything to see. Lots of farmland, a few old country stores, and even a pig farm near the ferry. The ferry was a nice ride.

The best of the best. These folks have ridden and shared more roads than any other ORJ member this month.
