Nice loop that takes you from Murrysville to Murrysville over mostly winding two lane country highways. You will be running through the Laurel Highlands for a large part of the ride, but these are all 45-60 mph numbered roads, not real tight winding mountain roads. So, you will have ample opportunity to relax and take in the scenery. There probably won't be much congestion anywhere on this route except coming through Greensburg is always somewhat time consuming. I have used this loop as an after work cooling off ride whenever I have not needed to get home right away. Even though you would think it might be busy at that time of day with all of the after work commuters, I did not find it to be so. This route takes you several 'civilized areas' where you can find food, gas, bathrooms, etc. I have not ridden this loop in the Fall yet, however it should be quite scenic at that time of year.
