Afternoon ride through the mountains full of twisty roads wisely scattered between short straight aways, as to not get tiresome taking just around 2 hours. Rarely any traffic to the local horse ranches scattered about. A little quick stop for snacks and drinks along the first half of Lyons Valley Road on the left, blink and you may miss it. Roads can have small debris near edges of cliffs, recommend taking it slow the first time, to scope it out, mostly nothing that will be of concern, but best to be sure. If short on time, change route at the four way intersection, see 'Afternoon Jamul Mountain Trip 2 and 3'. First half of Lyons Valley Road speed ranges based on skill level from 10 mph in the tight hairpin turns through 30 - 40 mph in most turns and your descretion in the straight aways. Second half of Lyons Valley Road and your speed doubles with longer straight aways and a marvelous view of the southern landscape. Don't worry about cops, except near populated areas of town. A few great places to practice wheelies and stunts, advise letting someone know where you are incase your skills are not perfected yet. Any style of bike and rider can enjoy these variations, recommend taking it slow the first time, to scope out an debris along the cliffs, since there is little traffic to keep the roads spotless. Enjoy.
