This ride take you by more great Florida beaches. Starting at America's oldest city, ride north on A1A throught the Guana River State Park. Traffic can be heavy through Jacksonville Beach, especially on the weekends. Take the ferry over the St. Johns River at Mayport and ride north through Big and Little Talbot Islands to Ameila Island. When you get to Fernandina Beach, be sure to go to Ft. Clinch and the Palace Saloon. (oldest continuosly operating bar in Florida)Leave Fernandina Beach on AIA west to US 17, then north to Ga40. Ride east to the little town of St. Marys. St. Marys is the jumping off point for Cumberland Island. Sorry, no motorcycles - Cumberland Island is for hikers only.

Have ridden this many times, most recently as part of a group trip. Very nice beach ride, Jax beach area is ugly and heavy traffic. My best part is the Talbott Island area north of the ferry.

Very nice ride along the beach. Have made this one many times on way home from Daytona. Ferry at Mayport is the best part.
