left anderson sc at 7pm for a little night ride. rode thru the savannah river valley into wrens ga. with a quick stop in happy valley to pay respects to blind willie mctell. i hit US1 south in wrens.and it is freshly paved all the way to the florida line. just past I-16, i hit thick fog and an ice covered highway. i just missed what must have been one hell of a hailstorm. the fog really slowed me down, 30 or so miles at 10-15 mph and i pulled off the road a waited for it to lift once. but the fog lifted the sky was clear and i saw a few shooting stars. and the ride into florida was beautiful. with all the delays i hit 295 in jax at the morning rush and waited it out while i had breakfast. i decided to take 95 down to US1 at exit 273. camped at the moonshine c/g. stayed one night then headed west.
