This is similar to my hwy 56 route. Rolling, twisting roads through forested valleys and hills and miles of apple orchards. The western part of Wisconsin is known as the driftless area, meaning that the glaciers never touched it. That left a lot of rough terra firma. As mentioned, this is apple counrty. Gays Mills is world reknowned for it's apples so you are in for a treat if you like them.Ferryville and Gays Mills are about it for gas and food.Watch for sand, animals and farm equipement. There might be some traffic on the weekends around the orchards.

The best of the best. These folks have ridden and shared more roads than any other ORJ member this month.
