Arkansas, as a whole, is one of the most beautiful states to ride in, but this route is in my top five routes in the state. I usually stay in Hot Springs for a few days and then venture out to some awesome places. This route takes you up the ever popular Hwy 7 and just before you get into Jasper in the area known as the Arkansas Grand Canyon you turn right on 374 and head to Mount Judea (Judy, as the locals call it) and go into the valley in the 'Canyon' which is 'post-card' beautiful. Then from Mt. Judea take 123 south and this will take through some pretty intense and sharp curves that you will need to be pretty careful on and watch for loose gravel on the road. Once you get through these curves and on over to where 123 and Hwy 16 merge together for a short while, you will come to a place called Pedestal Rocks and if you are in the mood for a short hike (about 2 miles roundtrip) it is worht the effort. There are several other sights through here, but I just highlighted a couple.

The best of the best. These folks have ridden and shared more roads than any other ORJ member this month.
