This road surprised me in the way it transformed from sweeping curves on the highway to twisties going thru the state park and over the mountain and then back to open sweeping highway. A great ride, part or the whole to include if traveling this area.

Great ride. Great scenery. Met great people along the way. Received some help when needed and gave some help when someone else needed, this will be one of those days that will be reflected on for a long time.

after being rained on twice on the parkway wifey, brotherinlaw and I jumped off to ride part of the way on this wonderful road. took 2 rights off the parkway toward waynesville, cruso and I was the happiest I'd been all trip. the twisty curvies brought a smile, overhaning trees were nice, breaking out into clearings with nice views. the river was dry last weekend, but the folks in cruso were great and we met a handful of people on the way back to asheville that are well remembered. this is a really nice ride... les

Very nice, twisty road, through the mountains. Stop just south of the NC/SC border on 276, at Caeser's Head. The view from the cliff is awesome and many times, you'll see a bald eagle in flight.
