This road trip can be done in three days, but I would suggest 4 or 5 days so that you can take your time and do some sightseeing and meet some wonderful people on your trip.We took the first day and went from Conroe through Austin, Fredericksburg and spent the first night in Keerville. The FM-2222, Bullick Hollow Rd., Lime Creek Rd, Anderson Mill Rd and FM-1431 around Lake Travis is full of twisties and hills. Be cardful with the switch backs with blind curves.... very fun. Johnson City on US- 290 is full of History and Antiques, nice place to stretch your legs. Fredericksburg is a place where you really want to park the scoot and walk the down town area. Loads and Loads of history to see and things to do... at lot of fun and you will meet a bunch of new friends doing the same thing that you love to do... riding the scoot.... When you get to Keerville, you need to check out the YO Ranch Resort Hotel. A lot of bikers stay hear and you will see why. Supper nice staff, clean rooms, nice upscale restaunt and bar and very affordable... Depending on how much time you spent in Fredericksburg, You should have time to check in at the YO and have time to visit the Hill Country Museum, Museum of Western Art or apend some relaxing time downtown in Keerville.Day 2 starts out with rolling hills and twisties down SR-16 to RR-337... be ready for a day of GREAT riding. Watch the speed limit signs, I think they are ment for people on motorcycles.... Also keep an eye open for wild animals.... you will see some. Before you get to Leakey, watch for the gent from and try not to smile for you pic. When you get back home you can go to his website and purchase your picture if you want... the guy does an awesome job and the pics are affordable. After you get to Leakey, you'll start on the Three Sisters.... have fun. When you are done with the sisters, The Pig Pen is a great place to sit back and enjoy BBQ sandwich with some of the new friends you have met on your tour. After you have rested a bit, head back 337 towards Vanderpool and grab FM-187 for about 2-3 miles. You will see the Lone Star Motorcycle Museum on the left. This gent is supper nice and the museum is full of his own personal scoots that he has collected over the years. If you ask him, every scoot has a story..... really worth the stop. His wife makes a meet pie that is very good...... From there you can continue on 187 to SR-39 and follow the Guadalupe River back to Keerville... nice scenic ride. From here head on to New Braunfels. We stayed at the Ramada Inn on I-35... the staff was nice and rooms where clean and the is price was right. If you have time and not to tired, you may want to go to Gruene Hall, The oldest dance hall in the state of Texas. Arouud the same area there are antiques and an old country store that has some gooood ice cream. The third day will bring you though historic Gonzales and Goliad. Goliad has a mission and a fort that are worth the see. The fort is where the battle with Willam Travis and Mexico had their tiff. From there you will be heading to Corpus Chriti. You should have plenty time to go see the Air Craft Carrier and spend some time on Water Street. You must eat at the Water Street Restaunt..... Goood food and fun.The forth day will be riding along the coast and crossing on a couple of farries. To me, the ride along the coast was not a pretty to look at, but is still is a historic route with interenting people and places to see. Good food aloug the way......Have fun and take your time... enjoy the scenes and the people...
