It's a good stopping point. At Arlington Heights Road take a right and follow it till it tees into Jim Creek Road. From there you take a left and that will bring you to Hwy 530.Take a right and head east on 530 to Darrington. Hwy 530 is a gorgeous ride with sweeping curves and the scenery of the mountains. Did this ride on Memorial Day weekend 2102. Apart from a few driver-caused wrong turns it was an enjoyable ride. Very little traffic once I got past Darrington. The towns are spaced apart enough so you can stop and get snacks, or food and drinks. If you start in Monroe, have breakfast at Patty's Eggnest. It's located in the shopping plaza just as you turn left off of Hiway 2 onto Woods Creek Rd to start the trip. Great chicken fried steak.

The best of the best. These folks have ridden and shared more roads than any other ORJ member this month.
