Woke up early saturday and decided to take the bike and go get some breakfast.I figured a ride to Cave Creek before it got to hot would be a great idea.(the high was 106 degrees)Once you get to Cave Creek make sure you do the speed limit.lots of shops and traffic.I stopped at Harolds Corral and had breakfast. The place was full of bikers and locals, also lots of tourists on their shopping break.Be warned,if you go on a sunday it will be packed with Steelers Fans watching the game.So I was lucky that it was saturday. They also had a rally for breast cancer going on called 'Save Our Boobs'.Being a fan of Boobs, I definetly had to make a donation. You can to by going to the Susan G. Komen website at www.komen.org. I then decided to take a ride to Bartlett Lake in the Tonto National Forest.Curvy winding roads and no traffic on this perfect day.I took my time and checked out all the different roads around the lake. Some great camping and fishing spots if you want to stay overnight.I then headed back to Cave Creek and stopped at the Hideaway (www.hideaway-usa.com)I needed to rehydrate myself with some mexican water with a lime, better known as CORONA.Its a great little place with a patio and some pretty cool characters hanging out.Since I knew I had to get back home to watch some football,it was time to get back to Phoenix.

I would rate this a five, but it's a short ride. Regardless, this is an excellent half day trip to get away from the city.
Perfect for an early morning summer ride before the Valley heat kicks in.

The best of the best. These folks have ridden and shared more roads than any other ORJ member this month.
