Big Basin st Park

Big Basin is home to old growth redwood trees and some gorgeous scenery. Hwy 9 outside of Campbell is a popular riding route for all types of bikes. The early part of the ride is all freeway but the finale is worth it. I have to admit Hwy 236 is not for the faint of heart. It drops to one lane and is very windy. DO NOT expect to rip through it at speed. The road is only so-so and you really have to pay attention to oncoming traffic (although it was light in this area). It is worth it if you do go this way however, the round about path is also nice.
