This is a great ride through some of the highest roads in Missouri. Most of this route is very rural and you may not pass anyone for many miles. Your cell phone may not get a signal on most of this route. This is a great ride for the spring or fall colors, but is also nice in the summer. Baylee Jo's in Ironton has good BBQ and cold beer. This is a good stop before you get out of Ironton. Be sure to stop in Bixby at the gas station for good sandwiches and something cool to drink. There are not many places to stop for refreshments after you leave Ironton except Bixby. Be careful on this route, parts of the road are very twisty. It takes about 1 hour to reach Potosi from St. Louis traveling down Hwy 21. Most of the time, I leave St. Louis around 10am in the morning and get back into the city between 5pm and 6pm. Be sure to take your camera and enjoy the ride.

A great ride with beautiful scenery. The alphabet roads on this trip are the best part of the trip. Sweeping, hilly, scenic and very little traffic. Coming in from the St Louis area on I55 we exited on exit 175 and Hwy P to De Sota and then connect on to 21. P was another scenic road. On the way back we took E out of Potosi to connect to Hwy 67 back to St Louis. A great addition to the trip.

The best of the best. These folks have ridden and shared more roads than any other ORJ member this month.
