If you want diversity in one trip that takes you across the state of Kentucky, this is your ride. I started this ride in my home town with intentions of going to Kentucky Lake. Planes changed when my wife didn't seem to fond of staying a night on the lake so I headed south.

When you travel through this part of Kentucky you get to see a great deal of farm land, tobacco farms, soy beans, corn, cattle, and horse farms. I love to see the different farms because I feel I can relate from growing up on a tobacco farm. once you get past Frankfort we start seeing more horse farms. Real big horse farms around Lexington/Versailles.

We Snake around Lex head south towards Richmond Via Tate's Creek Road. Another diversity we come across is Clays Ferry. a nice ferry ride across the Kentucky river in to the city with my Alma Mater, Eastern Kentucky University. Ride by wave at the Colonels for me and head on out past the Bluegrass Army Depot.

On our Journey we are still headed south towards the Cumberland Gap. HWY 25 is a nice trip through a few small towns as you head into the mountains of eastern KY and TN. Once you get a good ways in TN there is a great little BBQ place, I forgot the name but it is at the inter section of 32 and 73. I recommend stopping!

Along with good food and views it was a really nice ride. we had places to stop and plenty of open road. traffic wasn't an issue, had a little bit of interstate travel but mostly backroads. I would recommend it for and experience level!
