boat ramp ride

my boat ramp run. good for when you just wanna ride down to the lake without much hassle. boat ramps are always accessible.two of these, gregg shoals and mt. view are pretty remote. they were built on roads going down to old fish camps on the rivers. most of these roads are old river roads connecting roads with bridges. today the temps were in the triple digits so the lakes were really feeling good. started out by heading down sr81 to the jim rampey park on richard b russell lake. it's right off 81 so it's real easy to get in and out. there's picnicin', 2 shelters (good spot to know in a heavy downpour),restrooms and of course a boat ramp. but mostly it's a good startin' place for this run. here are the stops, gregg shoals, sanders ferry, mountain view,smith-mcgee and finish up on lake hartwell at singing pines rec area. i always like to stop in at the store near the entrance and pick up a few supplies then find a picnic table in a shady spot looking over the lake.
