Boise Idaho to Joesph Oregon. Our route for this ride is Boise to Emmett Idaho on Hwy16. We stay on Hwy 16 to Payette Idaho then head north on Hwy 95.
We stay with 95 to Cambridge Idaho then Hwy 71 through Hells Canyon over to Hwy 86 where we connect with the Imu which is a paved back road to Joseph Oregon. Joseph Oregon is the best kept secret in eastern oregon. Beautiful mountains and scenery. Lots of camping areas and small shops in Joseph Oregon. Joesph is in the Wallowa National Forest.
From JOseph we head west on Hwy 82 to Lagrande Oregon at LaGrande we have to hit the Hwy 84 the interstate.. ( Sorry ) Then we head east to Ontario Oregon where we head south on 201 to Parma Idaho.
We pick up 20/26 at PArma Idaho and head to Caldwell Idaho then to Boise Idaho.

This is a great ride! As you leave Cambridge and head towards Brownlee Reservoir you start dropping down int o Snake River Canyon. At Oxbow Damn you can take the Devils Tail ride to Hells Canyon Damn but you need to turn around and back to Oxbow but one hell of a twisty ride! Get gas in Halfway then head up Road Rash Pass or NF39 to Joseph and you got to see Wallowa Lake. As you sweep around to LaGrande go through LaGrande and connect to highway 30 and go to Hot Lake Springs which is a historic old Hotel, now Bed and Breakfast thats been around since 1812, well the hot water which flows a million gallons a day. Very cool place. Stay on highway 30 into Baker City, leave Baker City and use Hwy 30 there are a couple of small areas where you ride the Interstate but only a few miles, just can't get around it. At Farewell Bend stop at the State Park, very nice, then about mile ride on Interstate and back to old highway 30 to Boise.
Enjoy...

The best of the best. These folks have ridden and shared more roads than any other ORJ member this month.
