This is a touring/cruise dream. And not one of these roads will cost you a dime! Rural America at it's senic best. You're not going to go fast, but with all this great scenery you won't want to.

Start on the Blue Ridge Parkway (BRP). The northern extension of the BRP is Skyline Drive and it is part of the National Park Service and thus they charge per bike. Before you go, know that there is no fuel on the parkway. Go online and get a list of exits from the BRP with fuel. There are many great biker friendly inns, cabins along the route. There is so much to see you'lll have to whittle down the list and maybe come back another time.

At the end of the BRP you'll jump on the Smokey MTN Expressway and take that to HWY 129 and Deals Gap, the beginning of the Tail of the Dragon (TOTD). Again here are great biker lodging or go to nearby Robbinsville. Run the TOTD MANY times!

After a TOTD, head west on the Cherohala Skyway, down Hwy 68 and west again on copper road toward Chatanooga.
