Highway 70 takes you through the Eisenhower Tunnel, Glenwood Canyon, and the San Rafael Swell. The Eisenhower Tunnel is the highest point along the Interstate Highway system with an elevation of 11,158 ft. You'll be traveling slowly (50 mph speed limit) through Glenwood Canyon - take your time and let the beauty of the vertical rock walls soak in. Stop at No Name (really, that's the name) of the rest stop - a jewel of a rest stop. The San Rafael Swell should be a national park. Be prepared for triple digit temperatures in Utah and across the Mojave Desert. You'll need your heated jacket for the high-elevation riding in Colorado. The good riding in Colorado in this area is in the morning - you will get hit with thundershowers in the afternoon. The only technically challenging parts of this ride are Loveland Pass in CO (11,990 feet) and Cedar Breaks National Monument in Utah, also over 10,000 feet but if you love twisties you'll be fine.

This is a motorcycle ride in the states California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Colorado. This motorcycle route has 3 scenery characteristics and other road conditions to help you plan your road trip.
