Beginning in Paris, Ky, travel US 68 East app 3 miles east of town, just past the Stockyards(moo) Redman Rd turns left, this is our first turn. Following Redman Rd all the way to the end it intersects Ruddles Mill/Millersburg Rd, we turn left. App 50 foot down this road we'll be turning right onto Colville Rd. App 2 miles down Colville road we bear left at the fork, and up the hill remaining on Colville Rd. Just over this hill is out first stop, Colville Covered Bridge.(http://www.uky.edu/KentuckyAtlas/CoveredBridges/colville.html) From here we'll continue east on Colville road to its end at Millersburg/Cynthiana Road(Ky 32). Right turn and follow Ky32 app 5 miles, it'll turn left onto 'Headquarters rd'. Follow this another 8 miles or so to the intersection of US 68 again. Left onto East US68 for app 9miles to Blue Licks State Park. This really isn't part of our destination but a great opportunity for a bathroom break if need be. Continuing on 68 for another 3 miles to Ky 2505 Mt Pleasant road. Go left here towards Mt. Olivet Ky for roughly 2 miles to Ky 165 Old Blue Lick rd. Right turn and go app 2 miles to the Johnson Creek Bridge(http://www.uky.edu/KentuckyAtlas/CoveredBridges/johnson-creek.html). Leaving here we'll head north-East on Ky 1029 to the intersection of US 62 Turn right on US62 for app 3miles, and turn left onto Ky596 towards Germantown. At Germantown we'll turn right onto Ky10 for app 3 miles, and make a left onto Ky435, follow this for app 4¼ miles into the community of Minerva, 435 will turn left, we stay straight here onto Ky1235. Follow this to the end at intersection of Ky8, make a right turn and go app ½ mile to Lee's creek road. The Dover Covered bridge is about 100 yards down this road(http://www.uky.edu/KentuckyAtlas/CoveredBridges/dover.html) Next we head East on 8 again to the intersection of US62/US68 and turn right to AA highway. At the intersection of AA make a left. App 2 miles up there will be a Wendy's, Hardee's on the right, a Ponderosa steak on the left. Continuing on AA highway there are also several gas stops and other fast food stops just through the next stop light. Just ahead will be Ky 11, make a right on this and head towards Flemingsburg. Fleming County is well known as the Covered Bridge mecca of Ky. For the sake of time we opted to head to the most popular bridge in the county, at Goddard. Taking 11 into Flemingsburg, bear right onto the Ky11/Ky32 bypass, once on the bypass stay on 32 towards Morehead for app 8 miles to Covered Bridge Rd on your left.(http://www.uky.edu/KentuckyAtlas/CoveredBridges/goddard.html) From here we'll make our way back to Flemingsburg on 32, then turn left onto 32, 20 miles of rolling hills and some what twisty roads into Carlisle. In the center of town turn right on 36, back to US 68, roughly 14 miles back to Paris. Roughly 154 miles

My husband and I took this route and absolutely loved it! It was a two thumbs up. We left out on a Saturday morning and came home on Sunday morning and slipped into the church doors with our leathers on just in time for the service! We started out from Campbellsville, Kentucky, went to Paris and continued with this Route! Thank you so much. This was our first of hopefully many rides from Open Road Journey....and if all are as fun filled as this, we can't wait. As a matter of fact, I am looking for the next ride now! Thank you and God bless. Kick stands up!!!!
