This is day one of an 18 day ride with three friends which was orginally supposed to cover almost 5,000 miles but was abbreviated due to weather. We departed Silverthorne CO on June 6 after a bad weather day on the 5th. Routes 9 & 40 are pleasant rides with nice scenery. Rabbit Ears Pass was a bit chilly with temps in the high 30's and snow all around. We stopped for lunch in Craig at JW Snacks, a local bar, and the food was very good.We headed north on CO 13 to WY 789 through Baggs and to Creston Jct where we donned rain gear and hopped on I-80 west(I hate Interstates) to Rock Springs. We stayed at the Days Inn(nice)and had dinner and drinks at Bombers (also good)which was right next door.I'll post day 2 when time permits.

The best of the best. These folks have ridden and shared more roads than any other ORJ member this month.
