- Ride Time: 4-6 hours
- Approximate Fuel Costs: $13.53
- State: Wyoming
Left Rock Springs @11:00 A.M. when temps climbed 'up' to the 40's and headed north on Rte 191 passing through Eden, Farson stopping at Pinedale, a sizeable and nice town, for fuel and hot coffee. Back on the road we proceeded north to the 'Rim' elev.7921ft. where we encountered snow. We pushed on to Bondurant where the snow stopped. The ride from there to Hoback Jct. was quite scenic. We arrived in Jackson at 3:00 P.M.and checked in to the Four Winds Motel, a clean, convenient and reasonable facility. Walked around town and stumbled on to Jackson Hole Harley Davidson where some sort of promotional event was taking place and they we serving free food. Made the obligatory stop at the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar and then to the bar at the Wort Hotel. Jackson is a nice town but a bit too upscale for me but one of our group hadn't been there before so we added it to our itinerary. It was a cold 175 mile ride and the weather for the most part was atrocious but we shall push on.

I have made this portion of your ride between Rock Springs and Jackson Hole as part of three different trips, and although there is a lot of solitude in this trip, I find it beautiful.

On a long ride, a few years ago, we travelled from Thermopolis to Pinedale and stayed at the the Lakeside Lodge on Fremont Lake- turned out to be a highlight of our vacation.
Thanks for posting - Looks and sounds like a great time.

The best of the best. These folks have ridden and shared more roads than any other ORJ member this month.
