Me and a friend of mine went to Deals Gap and on the way to Sassafrass Mt.(the highest point in S.C.) we found this road. If you are ever in this neck of the woods you have to take this route. Warning once you start up the Mt. there are no gaurd rails and the drop offs are very steep. We went all the way up to the Blue ridge Hwy and Passed 1 Bikecycle, 1 car and one motorcycle coming down. This is a very twisty road once you start up. There are some spots where the water running off the Mt. may cross the road in some croners so be carefull.

I love riding 151. It's close to my house, so I can ride up the parkway to 151, run down the hill to Candler and be back home in about 45 minutes. Incredible twistys, pretty scenery, just a fun ride. Be careful for gravel and branches in the rode at times.

Hwy. 151 is my favorite road so far. This road is steep, curvy and tight. Very little traffic during the week, light traffic on weekends.
