Mikel, would I be able to extend this route around the big lake without any trouble with the roads?
Thanks! Mark

Why stop in Celina? Keep on going East on 455 until Hwy 75 then turn around. A lot of twisties there.

This is a nice quick route. I rode it in less than 3 hours with a few detours to check out local attractions. This is one of the better North Texas rides with plenty of scenery and not much traffic. The route features mostly straights with wide sweeping turns but has a few twistys mixed in to keep you entertained. Its March/spring (2010) now and lots of green fields with horses and cattle. Your typical country ride. It finishes with an excellent view of Lake Ray Roberts with a ride over the dam.

Took the Missus on this route last weekend (Late January); very nice, with some good straights and curves. The route wasnt bad either! Quite a few bikers out, look forward to doing it again when the temp's are in the eighties.

This was a great ride. I was riding solo, but I saw many riders enjoying the same route. Great scenery in the country and at the lake. If you live in the DFW area, you should take this ride. Highly recommended!
