Starting near tyndall head to springfield and access the bottom road. This is a great stretch of road that usually has water on both side. Follow this to running water and then hit the highway and cross the bridge and head towards nebraska. (Law says you must wear a helmet in nebraska) . Once you cross the bridge you will see los of trails along the river on the right. Feel free to check them out but dont get stuck. Hop back on the road and head east (left ) . Its a great piece of road that winds through the rolling hills along he missouri. The first access road heading south just past the bridge is where my Old English Bulldog Babe is burried. Shes under a nice shade tree. Keep following he road right until you get to Santee. Once you get to Santee get of the bike grab a bite to eat and visit with the locals. Run through town and keep heading east along the river and catch the gravel south. Follow the Gravel making sure you keep along the river. Be careful the Gravel is Loose . Its pretty easy to wash out the front wheel. Follow this and youll end up at Devils Nest and abandoned Ski area. I guess the nebrasa winters do not sustain a ski area. Looks like it was once a cool place. Take some time to explor it and then get back on the road and follow it down towards the river again. The road goes from gravel to pavement back to really beat up and rough pavement back to gravel. Its fun and you will not see anyone on this stretch. Keep following the abandoned highway as it skirts the river. Plenty of 5.00 views and watch for Wild turkey and dear. Follow back to Yankton stop and grab a cold brew at one of the many fine establishmants. Watch out for Cokatoos. :) Have fun
