I would rate this ride higher, but the locals are poor drivers in this part of Texas. Watch out for old farmers in Dodge pick-up trucks. They seem to be oblivious to anyone else on the road, and they have one speed -- 35 miles and hour.

There is a great restaurant at the Lake in Onalaska called Lakeside RV and Resort. We ride from Humble,Tx across to Beaumont on FM 1960. You may want to try riding out of Dayton onto FM1008 up thru Keneflick. This is a great back road cruise with a few hills and curves. Travel north until you get to CR2285, then connects or changes to CR2518 after crossing 105. Turn onto FM787 to 146. Just an option. Ride Safe, God Bless.
