done ramblin' part 14 (US78 & US29)

rollin' toward atlanta from the hills of alabama. US78 takes you out of oxford through the last few miles of alabama. but they're some good miles. then you have several good miles in georgia before you start getting into the burbs and traffic of atlanta. i've looked for years for a way to bypass the big A without addin 100 miles to the trip but no luck. so i bite the bullet and hit the interstate which can move smoothly or lock you in. it's a gamble. but once you're outside the perimeter, you get back into some pretty good riding and after passing through athens it's all country roads to carolina. only bad thing about this part of the route it's the last leg of my trip. still a good ride.
