Have Breakfast in Eureka Springs at the Smoke House or the Mud Street Cafe then catch the 'Pig Trail' - Arkansas 23. Ride the pig trail with eyes wide open and watch for centerline trespassers and LEO's from Thursday until Monday evening (you have been warned). Stay on 23 and go through it's many twisties, elevation changes, beautiful canyons and sedate farms. Make sure you fuel up in Huntsville if you need it because once you get on Arkansas 215 you are on your own until you reach Oark.Once you get to Arkansas 215 turn left and prepare for a beautiful ride next to Buffalo National River, There are many camping areas here and it is extremely scenic especially in Spring or Fall. No ride would be complete without pie right? Well you are in luck! Stop at the Oark Mecantile/Restaurant,fuel stop for lunch or a great piece of pie! When leaving Oark plan well by checking your fuel again and filling if necessary. Remember the way into Oark is the way out unless you are riding a dual sport bike then gravel is possible. The round trip takes about 5 hours at the speed limit. Good riding and keep the rubber down.

Pig Trail is an awesome ride. The food in Oark is very good and well worth the detour. I love riding all the roads in the Ozarks with Eureka Springs, or, Harrison as a base camp.

We rode 23 from I-40 to Eureka. Scenery was unreal and the road was great. There are a few motels east of Eureka for riders, we stayed at Iron Horse Stables, great hospitality, nice. It was our first road trip ever and was the first leg of our trip to Wisconsin. It was a great way to start our riding career. As mentioned, be careful! The road is very twisty at places and some cagers "crowd" the line. Also, some of the signs that recommend 15mph, yeah, listen to them! I took one at about 5 over and my floor boards talked to me. While we want to see more roads this coming summer, we are thinking of making this the first leg or our trip again this summer. We will probably do it from Oark this year.
