This is a evening ride my wife and I will take to ride to Middlebury Indiana to eat at Essenhaus. State road 5 is a nice ride for northern Indiana. State road 5 has some hills and nice sweeping curves. Need to watch for horse drawn carriages near Ligonier, Topeka and Middlebury. The Essenhaus is a very good home style restaurant that can have a fairly long wait if you eat on the family style side. The food is worth the wait. My wife enjoys looking thru the shops and stores as well.

On the way back home we will drive around the east side of lake Wawasee ( largest natural lake in Indiana ) and then near lake Webster.

The ride is about 1 hour one way.

I've ridden some of this route, some very good roads. I live nearby in Lagrange and have been to the Essenhaus many times.

The best of the best. These folks have ridden and shared more roads than any other ORJ member this month.
