Mainly two-lane blacktop the whole route
Paralells the Missouri River for quite a while.
To make it interesting, you can turn into Missouri City and drive through the old river town.
Just outside of Missouri City, turn south into the Cooley Lake access to the Missouri River.
For a meal, exit at Orrick and stop in a Jader's Cove.
Route "A" at Hardin is a wonderful road through farmland.
Coming off Route A, is like driving through some of the hills of the Ozarks.
You will pass by The Battle of Albany site at Orrick, the graves of Bob Ford and Bloody Bill Anderson at Richmond.
Historic stops along the route could include the Ray County Museum, Watkins Woolen Mill State Historic Site and the James Farm (home of Frank and Jesse)
