Salt Lake City, Ut. to West Yellowstone, Mt. Part #1 actually started in Salt Lake City, but we rode I-15 north 50 miles to Brigham City and that is where the 'Ride' really started.

US 91/89 was a good start to warm up with, having sweeping curves and rolling hills to get us in to Logan and US 89. Now we start to warm up with some twisties added to the previous, as we pass thru the Wasatch-Cache National Forest.

As you near Garden City, get ready for a treat, coming over the last peak you start downhill, the first thing you see is beautiful Bear Lake and the small community of Garden City sitting next to the Lake. I saw a view like this once before from the Swiss Alps by Lake Geneva in Switzerland. It is just that beautiful!

Then you get to ride along the lakeshore of the 112 square mile lake.

US 89 will not disappoint you as you move into Idaho and into Wyoming to Alpine Junction. Properly named because of the terrain.

Traveling US 26 back into Idaho, along the Palisades Reservoir is beautiful.

In Swann Valley you take Idaho 31 Scenic Hy. across the Snake River range to Victor & Id. 33. Traveling north on the west side of the Teton mountains. Idaho 31, and 33 are scenic highways and create enough a nice ride. Id. 32 is a rollercoaster of woop de dooos! A couple of them took my breath!!!

US 20 takes you thru Harriman State Park and Henry's Lake State park, and into West Yellowstone, Mt. Lot's of shops and touristy stuff to do here if you are staying the night, which we did, at the Yellowstone Lodge.

This ride is much more scenic if you saty on US highway 89/26/191 and go up through Jackson Hole with a cut off to see Jackson Lake before you come into Yellowstone from the south.Wife and I have taken this several times and always find it fun, beautiful and relaxing.
