Be sure to ride both sides of the river! The views are beautiful from either side, but the ride is different. This map only defines the northern loop. Be sure to go all the way to Winona, MN or even LaCrosse, WI if you can make a day or weekend of it! The Minnesota side has some larger towns (Winona, Red Wing, Wabasha) with plenty to offer for food and gas. There are also a few smaller towns along the way. HWY 61 is two lanes each way so traffic issues are limited. The Wisconsin side has more sweeping country road and much smaller "farm towns" along the route. (Maiden Rock, Nelson, Pepin) Food and gas is easy to find on this side as well. Although more "small town cafes" will be preferred. Vendors dot the small towns during the actual Flood Run weekends in Spring (third weekend of April) and Fall (second weekend of September).

The best of the best. These folks have ridden and shared more roads than any other ORJ member this month.
