The view from the tower at Fort Revere of Boston. The other views are just as stunning.
Rt 105 - N. Main st Middleboro, Ri on River St Lf on to South St Ri on 106 Lf on Rt 58 Ri on Union St. to Mattakeesett St. Ri on Rt 14 Lf on Rt 53 This portion of the ride has many lights and is the worst part of the ride. Ri on Rt 228 out past the beach front Nantasket to the fort. I could not seem to find the fort on the map but its there. If you can't find it stop and ask someone.

The ride to the fort is a once or twice a year ride. We have been there maybe six times. The tower was only open two of the times. No hours posted so I guess its luck of the draw. There are restrooms, tables and grills all for public use. Its really a neat little place when you find it.
You can walk around the stone structure and see the where there were big guns guarding the harbor.
The stairway up the tower is very narrow and dark. If people are on their way down wait until they exit before going up
There are only five or six parking spots on the left as you drive in but there is always space in the grass.
On your way out there are plenty of sidewalk food places by the beach. Parking at Nantasket is tuff especially for larger groups. Look for the carousal on the right its the only thing left from the amusement park that use to be there. Just past the beach look on the left for Jeruslam Rd this will turn into Atlantic Ave. See how the wealth live. From Cohasset center follow Border St. Lf on Gannett Rd Ri on Hatherly & Lf on Beaver Dam Rd. Great lunch on the water in Scituite Harbor O'Malleys. They have a giant hot dog that will make your whole crew laugh. Back out to 3A south to plymouth. If you want more beach take 139 it will re connect to 3A. Stay on 3A there are some nice twisty in this section. Once in Plymouth look for Nelson St on Lf, a 90 degree to the right is water St. On this corner is a public park with bathrooms, parking and water axcess. Follow water St past the water front and get a icy cream or a cold drink. Back out to 3A take a right and a sharp left with another sharp Lf to Summer St take a Ri on Carver Rd and a Ri on Plymouth St back to Middleboro Center to end the ride.
You can tie this Rt in with the Middleboro loop listed under rides. The lower section of 3A is nice but the real twistys start when you get off 3A. Your next break point would be at the memorial rock.
This is a neat little park with no restrooms, plenty of woods.
