i said see, see see rider..., oh yeah, a whole lotta elvis on this route. startin off with a visit to the kings birthplace in tupelo, the veterans park and a few more local points of interest. a block or two from the homeplace is johnny's bbq, a really good place that's been around like 60 years. leavin town i always take US78 to sherman ms. then hit SR178. this old route runs you up to memphis thru the country and small towns along the way. once in memphis i head over to graceland to pay homage to elvis and eat my bbq sandwich i bought at johnny's. the wall in front of the place is covered withnames of people from all over the world who have stopped by. it's pretty cool reading 'em gettin to graceland from this direction is pretty simple, hit 240 west then 55 south then E.P. boulavard. can't miss it, signs are everywhere . then take 55 north to US63 and SR14 takes you right over to the lake.
