I had a day to go for a ride and just decided to start with a road that I know and then 'get lost'. I did a good job of that. I knew that I wanted to go up HWY 55 from Shawano. I just didn't know how I wanted to get there. Every road I was on was in good condition. There are plenty of places to stop for Food and Drinks along the way. I put it as a 1 day trip, but realistically it was closer to about 7 hours. I stopped for a bite to eat and a few leg stretches. The road between Point and Iola is loaded with sweeps and scenery. All farm land except north of Shawano. HWY 55 is through the reservation along the Wolf River. Looks like brand new asphalt the whole way up to Langlade. If you get behind someone, pull over and stretch your legs for a few minutes and try to time it where you don't have to slow down for anyone. I got lucky. One car in front and he turned off after about 1/2 mile. If I think of anything else, I'll edit later.
