Make sure you take the chance to stop in beautiful Breaks Interstate Park inside of the Jefferson National Forest. This road offers lots of twists, turns, and hills. The roads are old country roads that include both rough and smooth sections. A lot of people comment that this road is a better road than The Dragon. Amenities: There are rest areas in small towns but the real thing to see is Breaks Interstate Park as its the main tourist attraction in the area.

This is a very nice alternative to Deals Gap (The Dragon). There is more to see and definitely more curves. We hit RT 80 out of Abingdon , VA and rode to the Breaks Park. The fried green tomatoes are AWESOME at the Parks feeding place. I would suggest this ride to anyone just be careful since the road is not maintaned to well a lot of small gravel and sticks but it had stormed a few days ago.
