Hwy 1 CA Morro Bay to Big Sur

This is one of the best coastal road rides you can find. You start in Morro Bay CA (beautiful small coastal town) hear north on Hwy 1 with fantastic views of the Pacific on your left for miles and miles. You'll pass Cambria a great little art colony (don't miss it) and head toward Hearst Castle (oh my God). After the castle, you start getting twisty and start the climbs. Ragged point is you last chance for fuel for a while and has a nice restaurant with a great view up on the bluffs. From here, it gets very twisty for a long time. Stop at Nepenthe Restaurant (48510 Highway 1) in Big Sur and get a seat looking over the ocean from high above, good food and drinks here. Return same way, but this time you are on the outside of the road closer to the edge, nice.
