This is a great day trip, a good 200 mile ride and some good scenery with wine and brewery stops. We left High Ridge and proceeded west until we reach New Haven, MO and stopped at the Hill Top Tavern for lunch. Good grub and frosty refreshments! After leaving New Haven, we refueled the bikes in Hermann because once you cross the Missouri river and start back east on Hwy 94, the gas stations are few and far between. We visited my favorite Winery (Stone Hill) for a brief sampling of their product. (We had to be sure it had not gone bad!) We crossed the river and stopped at the Dutzow Deli for some desert (good pies) and road into Augusta. We stopped at the Augusta Brewery for a couple of their excellent beers and then continued east on Hwy 94 to I-64. This route has many opportunities for numerous stops so I would plan on it taking most of the day. Also, since there are so many winerys along this route, be careful, there are always a lot of people on the road that have impared driving...

The best of the best. These folks have ridden and shared more roads than any other ORJ member this month.
