This is a very nice, relaxing trip. If you make this trip in the heat, be sure to hydrate! The 138 on the way back can be boring, but there is lots of great desert to look at! Stop in Wrightwood and have lunch at one of the biker friendly cafe's. I always gas up in Wrightwood too. There isn't another gas station until the 131st street/Pearblossom Hwy intersection. I always refuel there.

this is a very cruiser type ride. minimal twisties, lots of sceneries, minimal eateries, adequate gas area, minimal excitement once you get to the desert floor. but overall a fun ride.

I've only been on this route in a car but it's on my list for when the weather warms up. It's a real nice area for a ride.

I want to add a correction to this route. This route, if driven without stopping, will take less than 2 hours to complete. However, if you stop to eat, take in the scenery, or just to relax, this route will take more than 2 hours to complete. Enjoy!
