I feel that Alberta's Icefields Parkway, #93 between Banff and Jasper, is simply THE most awesome scenic ride in North America. IMO, the least impressive part of the experience is Banff, which has turned into little more than a crowded tourist trap. Jasper, on the northern end of things is a little more pleasant place to stop. In between Banff and Jasper lies Saskatchewan River Crossing where you can refuel, eat a good meal, have a brew, stay in the motel and enjoy the awesome scenery. The Crossing gives a discount for the motel room that's right next to the bar. The main attractions along the Parkway are the mountains, valleys and glaciers. It's an amazing place! You will also be treated to various wildlife along the road. Be sure to visit Athabasca Falls. Also be sure to take a good camera as you'll want to take dozens of pictures.

Quicksilver says:
How could I rate this any less than a 5? Goes right thru the heart of the Canadian Rockies. Phenominal scenery the whole route. It should be rated as a 10, as it is equally spectacular in either direction, so should be ridden each way. Try to leave enough time to get out onto the glaciers. Enjoy all the wildlife you will come across.

The best of the best. These folks have ridden and shared more roads than any other ORJ member this month.
