I bought a new bike this past week, found a deal on a 2014 Vstrom 650 with zero miles. Saturday morning I left early to meet a guy to add racks to the bike so before daybreak, I headed to Waco. I initially was going to ride by home and did not take any gear at all. After riding for while, I decided to spend this weekend getting the breakin miles done. There was a meet for breakfast in Mason Sunday morning. I figured I could spend the weekend just enjoying the riding and getting some miles on the bike. Took several farm market and county roads. Saturday was a pretty warm day for riding. Met some of the guys at a park on the Llano river. They were camping for the meet. I chose a room as I did not have this bike set up yet for camping. Saturday was really an enjoyable day just taking my riding on some of the backroads. Sunday morning we took 152 toward Mason and crossed the river and headed to west for breakfast. We had a good meet. I ran into a little rain before Brownwood so, I got wet. Once on I-20, I turned north at Ranger to meet up with some friends to ride some gravel before ending my weekend ride. The 650 is nice machine. I am looking forward to making some good trips on the bike. I have few pics along the way. Pics include a water crossing CR3420, Lake Buchanan Lake, Llano river, water crossing on the Llano river, and a few of the bikes at the breakfast meet.
