Just nice curves & hills for a ride, mostly tree-lined, too. Speed limit is avg 45 mph. Start in Leavenworth, KS, at the intersection of KS 7 & Hwy 5. Pass the Military Cemetary on your way out of town. When the route crosses I-435, Hwy 5 officially follows along, but turn left & take the county road south. You'll end up at Leavenworth Rd, Kansas City, KS (actually Hwy 5 again). Wyandot County park is a nice ride through too, or a great destination for an afternoon at the park. It's about an hour for a one way trip down this road.

I wish this wasn't true, but I think this is the ONLY fun road in the entire state of Kansas. Please be sure to ride it slow the first time. I have seen a large box truck take up nearly 2 lanes on one turn that forced a rider behind me almost into the ditch. At the north end you might want to drive through the National Cemetary which is set on a beautiful landscape. Yes, Homer's has great burgers and malts! Continue your trip by taking Hwy 7 Atchison KS. On the way you will experience the rolling terrain of the Glaciated Region of Kansas. From Atchison you can take 59 hwy to 4 hwy towards the Tokepa region. - Greg Pintar

Great route, but somewhat dangerous.

12 miles of turns, hills and S-turns. Drive it during the day when the road is dry. Watch for the possibility of dirt on the road as well as cars entering onto the road. One stop sign at about the half-way mark just as you crest over a hill (driving toward Leavenworth).

Lots of bikes have crashed/burned on this route so drive cool, especially the first time.

Have a greasy burger at Homer's in Leavenworth (on 4th St).

The best of the best. These folks have ridden and shared more roads than any other ORJ member this month.
