I have traveled most of this route except where they went into Canada I stayed on the south side of Lake superior through the UP of Michigan. I took a long quiet ride on Gun Flint Trail in Minnesota, a long ride and I ended up in Ely, MN. On the way across the UP we stopped in Municin MI, my spelling may be off a little. There we stopped and ate a Pasty, really good. went on to Pount Iroquois, Whitefish Point and then to Mackinac City a great ride. Took a Ferry to the Island, then rode the west coast of Michigan through Grand Haven, Ludington, Holland great little cities to vivit. In all it was a great ride. long ride but we had 16 days to ride and went slow, I'm 66 years old so I get tired after a day on my Harley, Great trip and a great ride. Marvin Lewis

I've never ridden the Wisconsin side on my bike, but I have been on all the Michigan roads. You missed out on one of the best bike roads in Michigan though. Next time you you're near Mackinaw city head west to cross village and take M 119 south along the lake shore to harbor springs. It's called the tunnel of trees. Awesome road and scenery.
