This is a great weekend journey I made with a fellow Vet. We ate great BBQ in Sherman and stopped at the Harley shop there for the obligatory T-shirt. That night camped out under the stars amongst the tall pines with some well deserved campfire tea and coffee. All along the route we were treated to tall pine forests draped with whisteria vines (mid springtime) and gentle winding roads. The terrain is rolling and rural with generally good roads. My only regret is that I didnt have the appetite to eat at all the interesting little eateries, If I did we would be eating every 10 minutes! The park staff at Lake of the Pines was fantastic, we really enjoyed visiting with them as they wanted to hear all about our journey. Other campers in the area came by to share a beverage from their coolers and talk with us. This is, like most rides, a great unwinding trip.

The best of the best. These folks have ridden and shared more roads than any other ORJ member this month.
