This a trip our group has made a few times and just recently did again. Bayhead road is one of those little narrow, non-striped strands of asphlat that most of us love to find. There are some really great views about 1/2 way on this road. Spring Lake Hwy. has some really nice rolling hills type of ride. CR 478 through Webster is typical route thru horse farms and cattle ranches for this area. When the road reaches Center Hill, you will feel as though you were dropped in a ghost town. A wide boulevard type road about three blocks long with old vacant store fronts. Makes an interesting place for a picture.
Lake Harris Hideaway is a great spot on the water that has great food, friendly people and is very biker friendly.Heading south on SR 19 you cross Lake Harris, slow down and take in the view. When you head west on CR 48 there is an awsome bakery on the left in the town of Yahala, called Yahala Bakery. Worth the stop.
CR 702 nice smooth curvey stretch that is also called 7 bridges for the little bridges you encounter thru the wet areas.
Although US 301 is a designated US Route, you will encounter little traffic. Frazee Hill and Ramsey Roads has some of the views in all of central florida.
This is a good day ride, enjoy!!
