Great ride. Here are some tips:1. Be careful when you're at the end of route 17 north in NJ, follow the sign that says 87/17 and then STAY to the right. I believe the exit is 15 , just follow the sign that says '17'. It can get hectic at that point, cars coming from different directions and changing of lanes needs to be planned ahead and done fairly swiftly. 2. While on route 52, you will come to a really awesome scenic overlook on your left (a bit before you get to 55) , stop there and take a gander or a picture. 3. Stop on route 55 check out the Rondout reservoir to your right, nice sight. DO NOT TAKE 55-A!, (alot of people make this mistake) at the fork 55/55A, stay to your left.4. The transition from 55-19 is tricky. I found that the best way to ensure you do not miss the right turn is to make sure you look for 'Zanetti's Auto repair center' and make the right turn right in front of the repair center.......this is Route 19.5. When you see an old firetruck and/or a large fire bell infront of a house (sometimes the truck isn't there, the bell always is) get ready to make the right onto route 92/47 (or 192, sorry, but it does say 'Sullivan county route...' then the number). Either way it's your first LEFT after the house i told you about. If you accidentally pass it up and continue on 19, you will come to a very isolated sparsely populated DEAD END. Pull a U turn come back a few miles and now make a right onto said road. 6. Check out the waterfall to the lef right after the small bridge on 192/47 (47 is Ulster county designation btw). This is my favorite part of the trip. This road is reasonably twisty, scnenic, quiet and relaxing. 7. When you get into Fleischmanns there is a gas station on main street right when you get into town. You can get something to eat there too. Of course you could stop earlier to eat on route 17m or 208, lots of places to stop there. Pete2006 Harley Davidson SuperglideRide length 160 miles
