So this is described by the local chamber of commerce as the 'Little River Blueway' and it's virtually all small rural roads and forest service roads. The name hides what is really here, rides though Sumter National Forest, Several State Parks, Revolutionary and Civil War battlefields (or, since we are in the South, the 'War of Northern Aggression') French Huguenot settlements dating back to the 1720s. Mass graves where European settlers were massacred and buried in a mass grave in the 1760s, Wooden train trestles, single lane wood-floored bridges. In between all of the historic sites, you'll see farms, cows, gorgeous scenery, and likely never encounter another soul. This is only about 50 miles, but the gravel forest service roads and the attractions that are abundant will have you wanting to stop pretty frequently, so 2 hours is probably the minimum time allotment to make.
